How to Print Your Label & Sticker Template from Canva

If you recently purchased any kind of label or sticker printable template from our shop, you might be wondering the best way to print them. In this blog, we're going to walk through exactly how to do that step by step so whether you're printing from home or using a professional printer, you'll end up with the best quality in the end!!
CHOOSE YOUR PAPER
We recommend using a full sheet sticker paper like this one from Avery.
EDIT YOUR TEMPLATE
Use the template marked as “full page”. This file is specifically set up to print multiple labels or stickers on one 8.5" x 11" paper. The bleed and trim marks are there to help you achieve a perfect cut after printing.
DOWNLOAD YOUR FILE
- Click “Share” from a computer, on phone use the icon with the arrow pointing up.
- Click “Download”
- File Type - Choose “PDF Print”
- Check the box next to “Flatten PDF”
- Click “Download”
CHOOSE THE BEST PRINTER SETTINGS
Ensure your setting is set to your highest printing setting to ensure the best quality print your printer can print.
- Set to “Scale 100%".
IMPORTANT: Do not use “Fit to Page”
- Hit “Print”
HAVE TOOLS ON HAND FOR CUTTING
This can be done in many different ways., but we recommend having a few things on hand:
- Scissors
- Ruler
CHOOSE YOUR PAPER
If you have picked a pre cut paper such as Avery Pre-Cut Labels or Stickers please use the following download and printing instructions.
Here are some pre-cut Avery paper types for labels or stickers you might consider using with our templates:
EDIT YOUR TEMPLATE
Use the template marked as “single”. This file will have one file template which is what you need when using pre-cut paper.
IMPORTANT: Do not use the full page template!
We will use this file type to upload to the template associated with the pre-cut paper you purchased.
DOWNLOAD YOUR FILE
- Click “Share” from a computer, on phone use the icon with the arrow pointing up.
- Click “Download”
- File Type - Choose “PDF Print”
- Check the boxes next to “Crop Marks & Bleed” and “Flatten PDF”
- Click “Download”
FIND YOUR PAPER TEMPLATE
For Avery paper, use this link. Search for the template number on your paper package. Once you find it, click on the template to begin editing.
HAVE TOOLS ON HAND FOR CUTTING
Upload the file you downloaded for your label or sticker from Canva.
IMPORTANT: Make sure the crop marks extend off their template. The bleed was created for this purpose.
Once you are done, download to print.
IMPORTANT: In your printer dialog box, be sure to set to “Scale 100%". Do NOT use “Fit to Page”.
